Hey, it's me. Alisha.
So what's my story?
Well, I'm a lot of things. A photographer is just one of them. I've been a professional photographer since 2011, honing my self-taught skills and learning to connect with my clients to bring out the very best of them through the camera.
I'm also a wife to an amazing active duty soldier of 30+ years, a mamma to 3 feral but beautiful children (I wouldn't have it any other way), and apparently I can't say no to cute animals so we have a dog, and two attack guinea pigs named Cheddar Cheese and Arnold Schwarzenegger. Ask me about them, I will go on and on. I seem to fall in love with a million things I want to learn how to do, so on a whim I might decide to refinish a dining room table or watch enough YouTube videos to install a ceiling fan. I recently learned to grow a tower garden, which has turned into an obsession with plants of all kinds. All of my children are special needs in some way and it has served to remind me that while not all things end up how we imagine them, we're always where we are supposed to be, when we're supposed to be there, and it's a beautiful thing. I loudly advocate for mental health and suicide awareness as it has touched my family deeply. I'm also a huge book nerd. (I'm trying to write one) Did I mention plants? I did. But it's worth mentioning again. Ask me about those too. Where are my plant people at??? Music!! I encourage my clients to bring their own playlist, I always carry a speaker, let's set the mood.
I also love coffee, old veterans who meet in the mornings for coffee, emotional commercials that involve old trucks and dogs, moments and people that inspire me, vulnerability, and the obvious........taking your photos and turning them into lifetime memories. Yeah, that kind of sums it up. ~ Alisha
